Felician Mens Hoops Earns Playoff Berth
The Felician College men's basketball team has earned a berth in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament. Felician, the No. 4 seed out of the CACC North Division, will travel to the CACC South's No. 1 seed, Holy Family University, in a first-round playoff game on Saturday, March 2 at 4:30 p.m.. at the Campus Center Gymnasium on the Holy Family campus in Philadelphia.
Felician (12-14, 9-9 CACC) won six of its final eight games to tie Concordia (N.Y.) College for fourth place in the CACC North, and captured the division's final playoff spot via tiebreaker by virtue of its 2-0 record against Concordia. The Golden Falcons are making their fourth conference tournament appearance in the last five years, and the 11th in team history. They won the event in 2010.
Felician is led by the high-scoring senior tandem of forward/guard Antoine Obery and guard Anthony D. Green.
Obery is the CACC's second-leading scorer at 18.8 points per game and ranks third in rebounding field-goal percentage. Green is averaging 15.4 points has posted 67 three-point field goals this season. Sophomore forward J.R. Pringley is averaging 7.4 points, including 13.9 in seven February contests. The Golden Falcons are 3-9 in non-neutral road games.
Holy Family (17-9, 13-4), from northeast Philadelphia, is seeking its first CACC title. It enters this year's playoffs on a five-game win streak. HFU is 9-3 at home.

The University of the Sciences will host the semifinals and finals of the CACC Tournament on its Philadelphia campus. Saturday's victor will take on the USciences-Bloomfield College first-round winner on March 8 at USciences' Morgan Arena at either 5 or 7 p.m..
The CACC Championship Game is slated for March 9 at 7 p.m.. at Sciences. The winner of the CACC Tournament receives an automatic berth into the NCAA Division II East Regional, to be hosted by the region's No. 1 seed.
