Felician College to Receive More Than $4.3M for Facilities Projects

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie announced the allotment of capital improvement monetary awards for colleges and universities in New Jersey.

Felician College has been earmarked for $4.375 million. The awards come from four different funding sources, including the Building Our Future Bond issue that was overwhelmingly approved by New Jersey voters last November.

“This is an exciting time for all of us,” said Felician College President Dr. Anne Prisco. “Kudos and thanks to all the Felician staff and faculty who worked hard to put together the application that was submitted to the State.”

The award will go a long way in helping fund several projects. One is to renovate the abandoned library on the Rutherford campus to an Education Commons building. Those plans include creating state-of-the-art classrooms and labs, a hi-tech eLibrary and a Nursing Resource and Simulation Center. The other project is to make both the Lodi and Rutherford campuses wireless.
