Felician College Business Symposium to Feature Space Traveler, Expert Career Coach
The Felician College School of Business is hosting its third Annual Business Symposium. The event titled “They’re Hiring – Reach for the Stars!” will feature two guest speakers: Molly Sargent, Executive Career Coach; and Dr. Greg Olsen, the third private citizen to orbit the earth on the International Space Station.
The event will take place on Saturday, April 13 from 10:15 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the upper lecture hall of Sammartino Hall on Felician's Rutherford Campus, 223 Montross Avenue.
After training for five months at the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut training Center in Moscow, Dr. Olsen launched on a Russian Soyuz rocket TMA-7 on October 1, 2005. He performed more than 150 orbits of the earth and logged almost four million miles of weightless travel during his 10 days in space.
After an illustrious career as a research scientist and entrepreneur, Dr. Olsen is now president of GHO Ventures in Princeton, NJ. He is active in many civic organizations, and schedules numerous speaking engagements to encourage children, especially minorities and females, to consider careers in science and engineering.
Since 1985, Ms. Sargent has trained and coached thousands of executives, managers and front-line professionals in best practices for sales effectiveness, including presentation and negotiation skills, professional image and business etiquette.
She has worked with Fortune 500 companies, including American Express, AT&T, Goldman Sachs, Prudential and many others.
Her key area of expertise is organizational culture transformation to achieve corporate strategy and better business results.
The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments and a light lunch will be served.
