Elizabeth Zweighaft, Ed.D

Dr. Elizabeth Zweighaft is the Associate Dean of the Prelicensure Nursing Program at Felician University. Dr. Zweighaft joined the Felician University faculty in 1990. She was born in New York and was raised in New Jersey where she lives with her two sons.  Over her academic career, Dr. Zweighaft has been active in both faculty and administrative roles. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, and her Masters of Arts and Masters in Education at Teacher’s College, Columbia University.  Her final educational challenge was when she went back to earn her Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership and Change at Fielding Graduate University. At that time she was a single parent, and working full time. Dr. Zweigahaft believes that next to her children, one of her greatest accomplishments was earning her doctoral degree. It showed her that no matter what you put your mind to you can do it.  That is what she likes to share with her students, no matter what you are challenged with, you can overcome it!

My areas of interest include curriculum development, student success, Pediatric and Maternity Nursing.
