Corinne, Ellis DNP

Dr. Corinne Ellis is an Assistant Professor in the Prelicensure Nursing Program at Felician University. Dr. Ellis joined the Felician University faculty in 2015. She was born and was raised in New Jersey. Over her academic career, Dr. Ellis has been active in both clinical and faculty roles. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing from Duke University, her Masters of Science from The University of Massachusetts, and her Doctorate in Nursing Practice (Leadership and Administration) from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Dr. Ellis began her teaching career at Felician over 25 years ago. She has served on nursing faculty at FDU and Saint Peter’s University before returning to Felician.

I enjoy serving on the Board of the MU Theta at large Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. I especially cherish my involvement in STTI and international nursing and gain so much from interacting with nurses from other parts of the world. I am pleased to have been selected to present at conferences in England, Prague, and Dublin.

My areas of professional interest include End of Life Care, Critical Care, and most recently the prevention of antibiotic resistance.

Personally, I am very involved in ending the Dog Meat Trade in South Korea and China. As an animal lover, I find the torture and eating of dogs abhorrent and horrific. I am working to rescue dogs and to support legislation outlawing this barbaric practice.
