Fourth Annual Business Symposium
Felician College Business Symposium to Feature Sports Media CFO
Panelists include entertainment and lifestyle experts
The Felician College School of Business is hosting its fourth Annual Business Symposium. The event titled “The Business of Entertainment & Lifestyle!” will feature two guest speakers and a panel of experts on the topics of beauty, health and fitness.
Providing the keynote address is Barry Pincus, a sports media CFO who will speak on “The Business Challenges of Sports and Entertainment.” Andrew Sugar, district manager for Starbucks, is the featured speaker.
The event will take place on Saturday, April 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the upper lecture hall of Sammartino Hall on Felician's Rutherford Campus, One Felician Way.
Mr. Pincus is well versed in all aspects of media management including finance and accounting, operations and business development. He has helped develop some of the most powerful world renowned brands as a finance and business executive, having been the CFO for the New York Yankees, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia and the American Red Cross of Greater New York.
As district manager of Starbucks in northern New Jersey, Mr. Sugar is responsible for $18.2 million in annual sales. In his eight years with Starbucks, he has numerous accomplishments including his district being ranked Number Two of 119 districts in the Northeast Atlantic Division for Key Measure Ranking of Fiscal 2012. He also serves on the Business Advisory Council for Felician College.
Panelists for the event include Stacey Antine, CEO, HealthBarn USA; Thomas Bourque, Director, Cluster Payer Marketing Lead, Pfizer; Ivan Ruiz, Manager, Athletic Overdrive; and Chris Ford (aka “Crowbar”), former professional wrestler and owner of Raising the Bar Rehabilitation and Fitness.
